Applying to RealTrainAI, step by step
Researched Oct 2026Create an account at realtrainai.com (Google or a sign-in link sent to your email, no password), fill in its six-part application (personal info, skills, experience, a resume, credentials, and at least 50 words on what draws you to AI training), take the short skills check most applicants are invited to, then wait to be considered for matching to a third-party project, which sets and pays your rate; matching is not guaranteed.
Who can join
- Be at least 18, legally authorized to work in your country of residence, and able to enter into binding legal agreements. The Terms name no country restriction.
- One account per person. Signing in with Google and with email using the same address is the same account, and creating extra accounts for yourself is not allowed.
- The credential a project area looks for. Each names one: an MD, PA, NP, or PharmD with clinical experience; a master's or PhD in biology, biochemistry, or life sciences; 5+ years as a senior engineer or architect; or 3+ years as a software engineer strong in 2+ languages. RealTrainAI also lets you apply as a generalist.
Step by step
- 1
Create your account
On the Apply page, continue with Google or with your email: RealTrainAI emails you a link to sign in, with no password needed.
- 2
Fill in the application
It has six parts: Personal info (your name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL and where you live), Skills, Experience, Resume (a PDF, DOC, DOCX or TXT file under 8 MB), Credentials (your degree, field, institution, certifications and languages), and Why RealTrainAI?, which asks what draws you to AI training projects and what you would bring, in 50 words minimum, with the hours a week you can give and your earliest start date. Your profile saves as you fill it in.
- 3
Mark the project areas that fit you
The Project areas page lists the kinds of work RealTrainAI screens for, each with the credential it looks for. On 30 October 2026, 4 of its 18 areas said Screening now (medical knowledge and clinical reasoning, biology and life sciences, software architecture review, AI coding and SWE review); the rest said Coming Soon. Applying to a project area is an expression of interest, not an offer of work.
- 4
Take the short skills check
Most applicants are invited to a short skills check matched to their background. Your results stay on your profile.
- 5
Wait to be considered for matching
RealTrainAI reviews applications and may approve and verify your profile, place it under further review, reject it, request additional information, or match you with a third-party opportunity. Your dashboard shows where your application stands. Matching is not guaranteed.
- 6
If you are matched, sign the project's own agreement
No engagement exists until a company agrees to it and you sign a separate agreement. The third party sets the project terms, pay rate and work conditions and pays you; RealTrainAI is not a party to that contract.
- 7
Qualify for the bonus after 10 paid hours
After at least 10 hours of paid work through a match, verified by the third-party organization, you may get a one-time qualification bonus by background: up to $20 for generalists, up to $100 for STEM bachelor's, up to $300 for specialized backgrounds, and up to $700 for a PhD, MD or JD. 'Up to' amounts are maximums, not guarantees.
A short skills check matched to your background
Most applicants are invited to a short skills check matched to their background, and the results stay on their profile. RealTrainAI then decides whether to consider you for matching to a third-party project. It does not publish the check's format, length or pass mark.
How to prepare
- Fill in every part of the application with your real resume and credentials: each project area names the credential it looks for.
- Write the 50-word answer yourself, about what you would actually bring to AI training work.
- Point your application at an area marked Screening now: the Coming Soon areas are not open yet.
RealTrainAI publishes no review time: how quickly you can start earning depends on project availability and your background, and your dashboard shows where your application stands. Matching is not guaranteed.
RealTrainAI pays no wages: the third-party organization you are matched to sets your pay rate and pays you, and payment disputes about that work go to that organization. The hourly ranges it shows ($15 to $200+) are based on industry data published by Business Insider, Yahoo Finance and similar sources, not rates it or a client has committed to. RealTrainAI itself pays only a one-time qualification bonus after at least 10 hours of paid work through a match, up to $20, $100, $300 or $700 by credential. Applying is free.
Tips to get accepted
- Use one sign-in: Google and an emailed link with the same address open the same account, and a second account for yourself is not allowed.
- Check the Project areas page for Screening now before you expect a match: most areas say Coming Soon.
- Confirm the pay rate with the organization you are matched to before you sign: RealTrainAI's figures are industry-reported, and the third party sets and pays the rate.
- Never pay to apply: RealTrainAI says it collects no payment from applicants.
- To edit your profile, have it deleted or close your account, write to support@realtrainai.com.
What isn't public
- RealTrainAI names none of the organizations it matches people to, and publishes no match rate.
- It does not publish the skills check's format, length or pass mark, or how long a review takes.
- How and when the matched organization pays (its method, schedule and currency) is set by that organization and not published, and RealTrainAI does not say how it pays its own bonuses.
- It launched in April 2026 and we found no independent worker reviews of its matching yet.
