Machine Learning Expert (Python, GenAI, SQL)
Its $40/hr is below the $60/hr median of the Coding & Software Evaluation roles open now, whose typical pay runs $35–$125/hr. How that pay moves week by week is in our research on Coding & Software Evaluation work.
Half of all Coding & Software Evaluation roles come down within 21 days of being listed, and 47% are still up after four weeks. This one was posted 207 days ago.
About the role
The Work
You will create original computational problems in machine learning, statistics, and other STEM areas. Problems should reflect real scientific workflows, require Python programming and meaningful reasoning, and be too computationally demanding to solve manually in a reasonable time.
You will verify solutions with reproducible Python code, check the outputs, and document each problem with a clear statement and validated answer. The work may include text generation, question answering, response evaluation, and computer programming tasks.
- Create original computational STEM and machine learning problems.
- Write Python-based solutions using tools such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
- Validate results with reproducible code and correct outputs.
- Document problem statements, solution paths, and verified answers clearly.
- Work with text-based tasks covering generation, question answering, evaluation, and coding.
What It Pays And Takes
This is a global, part-time contractor role for an experienced machine learning specialist. The project is not permanent, and the work requires strong technical judgment, careful verification, and clear written English.
