The interview is not with a person on Teams. On micro1 it is a spoken, real-time interview with Zara, its AI recruiter, lasting 20 to 40 minutes (about 7 minutes per skill). A third-party guide, not micro1, says camera and screen sharing stay on throughout, so test your setup beforehand.
To prepare:
- Read the role's skill requirements first. Zara's questions are tailored to them, so apply to the role that matches the legal area you know best.
- Practise answering open-ended questions out loud, with real examples of how you reason through legal problems.
- Use a quiet place and your own laptop.
What comes after:
- You see a result at the end. If you meet the criteria, you verify your ID (passport, driver's license or national ID, scanned with your camera, plus a selfie; the name must match your application) and join the certified pool.
- Certified means eligible, not placed. You get invitations and can apply to roles yourself. A strong interview may show as "Hiring manager reviewing" for up to 30 days, with no guarantee.
- If selected, you sign a Deel contract, complete KYC and background check, and are paid in USD twice a month.
- If you miss, you can request feedback from the dashboard.
Nothing on record rules out Nigeria, but each role states where it takes people from. Several roles ask for a license or bar admission asks for a U.S. bar), so check that before applying. micro1 does not publish its pass criteria.
