I can't tell which exact role you mean, since the thread doesn't name one. I can say what the postings show for data annotation work: these roles are listed as remote and paid per hour, so they read as freelance contract work, not salaried full time. The postings don't state the contract type, and some mention a minimum of hours per week (one prefers 20+). For the exact terms of one role, the platform decides, so check the posting and the agreement before you accept.
On pay, as of 25 Oct 2026 the postings show a wide spread, and it depends on the kind of work and the expertise asked:
- $8–$10/hr for the micro1 video annotation roles
- $20–$30/hr for RemoExperts data collection
- $43/hr for AfterQuery, which asks for 3+ years of professional experience
- up to $3/hr for the SuperAnnotate PDF role
These are the rates as posted in USD, not an Indian salary. Whether a role accepts people in India is something to check on each posting. If you tell us which role you saw, others who have done it can add what the work and the pay really looked like.

How is the payment processed, is it by using another platform?
